At Clontarf Beach State High School, sport extends far beyond weekly interschool and intraschool competitions. Throughout the year, students have a wide range of opportunities to represent the school and compete across South-East Queensland and beyond.

Our students participate in volleyball, netball, basketball, soccer, futsal, Oztag, rugby league, rugby union and more, with competitions including the Bill Turner Cup, Chris Flannery Cup, Super 7s Netball Secondary Schools Tournament, Queensland All Schools Volleyball, SEQ Futsal competitions and Rugby 7s.

We are also proud to host the annual Respect Cup, bringing schools together for a day of competition, teamwork, sportsmanship and respect.

For students in Years 10–12, our annual Sports Tour provides the opportunity to travel, compete against other schools and develop leadership, independence and lasting friendships while representing Clontarf Beach SHS.

Most importantly, we believe sport is about more than winning. Participation helps students develop fitness, confidence, resilience, teamwork, leadership and communication skills while creating positive experiences and lasting memories.

At CBSHS, there are opportunities for every student to get involved, stay active and proudly represent their school.
