School catchment information can be checked on the Department of Education Catchment Map here.
Applications for Enrolment for 2025 - 2026
Parents wishing to enrol students for 2025 or 2026 will need to complete an Expression of Interest as part of our online submission process.
While many of the students at Clontarf Beach State High School come from the local primary schools within the catchment area, each year we receive many applications from students who live outside our catchment area. Please see below instructions on how to apply based on your catchment area.

How to apply online
Step 1. Complete Expression of Interest
As part of our application process, you will be required to upload the following documents.
Proof of Residence Document:
- You will need to provide a rates notice, lease agreement or utilities bill.
School report:
- The most recent school report available for your child.
Once we have received your Expression of Interest, we will be in touch with more information and path to enrolment.
Entry into our Signature Programs for Year 7, 2026
To apply for our Signature Programs (Sports Extension, Dance Extension, Academic Extension, Music Extension) you will first need to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) for general entry to Clontarf Beach State High School above, where you will indicate your interest in the selected programs.
You will then be sent an application form for the Signature Programs that you are interested in.
Students must maintain high effort, behaviour and attendance to retain their place in the Signature Program.
Students can apply for multiple programs, however, they will only be selected for one of either Sports, Dance or Music. Students can participate in Academic Extension in addition to any of the Signature Programs.

Orientation day
An orientation day is held in Term 4 each year for students who are enrolled in Year 7 at the school for the following year. During orientation, students undertake a program of familiarisation into secondary school life by experiencing some mini-classes and participating in various activities.
First day at school
Students who commence school during the school year (other than on the first day of the school year) should report to the administration office. These students will be met by their House Leader, who will walk them through their timetable and escort them to their first class.
