Marine Science
CBSHS incorporates the peninsula's beautiful coastline into our teaching and even use it as our classroom. It is a university pathway subject which involves the study of oceanography, marine biology, coral reefs and ocean management.

Aquatic Practices
For those students seeking a vocational pathway, an alternative to Marine Sciences is Aquatic Practices. Supported by the Woody Point Marine annex, where our armada of boats and canoes are housed.

Aquatic Practices offers a highly practical look into the aquatic environment. Students learn about aquatic safety, snorkelling, aquaculture and aquariums, recreational fishing, seafood handling and the human impacts on the aquatic environment.

Our experienced and qualified Aquatic Practice teachers use citing edge technology such as Baited Remote Video (BRUVs) to provide students with a bird's eye view of what lurks underwater.
