Our Marine Science block, located at the back of the school, is home to a range of specialist classrooms, a dedicated boardroom, and a fully operational hydroponics system — an innovative method of growing plants without soil, often used in sustainable agriculture and marine environments.
Students in the Marine Science program engage in a hands-on, real-world learning experience that goes far beyond the classroom. An example of what students might study;
Complete snorkel training and participate in guided snorkelling excursions
Go on boating and fishing trips to explore local marine ecosystems
Visit nature reserves and marine environments for field research and environmental studies

This program helps students develop scientific knowledge, practical skills, and a deeper understanding of marine biology, sustainability, and ecological systems — all while fostering a love for the ocean and our local environment.
We have a marine annex building located on the protected waters of Bramble Bay, that houses powerboats, canoes and a fleet of new Clontarf-coloured kayaks.
